Duckett Creek Sanitary District is now accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Field Services Worker. This position assists in repairs and reconstruction of sewer lines and other general field and maintenance activities. This position is temporary from June through mid-August with 32 hours per week. Typical schedule is 6:30 am – 2:30 pm Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.
Job Description:
- Assist in performing repairs, maintaining and cleaning sewer lines.
- Perform general landscaping duties.
- Assist in general maintenance and repair of District property as assigned.
- Clean and organize the garage/workshop area and ensure that all tools are in proper order.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position: Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments (heat, humidity, confined spaces). Ability to do physical labor including digging, lifting, pulling and hauling dirt and equipment. Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, other employees and the general public. Ability to apply common sense to solve occasional problems. Strong work ethic and reliability. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered: Must be 16 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled). Requires a valid driver’s license.

The pay for this position is $17.00 per hour.
