Duckett Creek Sanitary District is now accepting applications for the position of Inventory and Procurement Specialist, Asset Specialist. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive inventory tracking and management support to the Operations, Field and Maintenance departments. This role involves maintaining accurate records of all assets in the District’s inventory database, coordinating with various departments to fulfill asset requirements, and provision of procurement activities. The specialist handles routine procurement tasks such as soliciting bids for equipment, vehicles, materials, and other necessary items, while adhering to District policies and all applicable state and federal laws regarding procurement.

- Accurately record and maintain all assets in the District’s asset inventory database.
- Track inventory levels and manage asset provision to ensure departmental needs are met.
- Perform routine procurement activities, including soliciting bids and acquiring equipment, vehicles, materials, tools, and other items.
- Coordinate with Operations, Field and Maintenance departments to identify and fulfill the department’s asset needs.
- Perform routine procurement tasks under the guidance of Operations, Field and Maintenance supervisors and/or the Director of Engineering and Operations.
- Perform formal procurement activities such Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
- Understand and apply policies and legal requirements related to procurement and inventory management.
- Prepare a written evaluation of bids, proposals and contracts to the supervisor in charge of the inventory item(s).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to verify both the accuracy of the database information and the condition of the assets (whether in working condition or in need of replacement).
- Implement and adhere to a lifecycle process for assets to record expected maintenance and disposal dates.
- Regular updates to the Director of Engineering and Operations on inventory and procurement activities.
- Provide a summary report of all activities to the Director of Engineering and Operations on a monthly basis.
- Maintain all required documentation and records based on the Secretary of State records retention guidelines, coordinating with the administrative department on periodic record destruction.
- Serve as the point of contact for routine Operations, Field and Maintenance procurement activities.

Salary Range: $54,400 -$67,900, with an additional $1500 annually after 15 years of service.
Starting rate of $54,400-$59,800 DOQ.
